Check out what's been happening.... 2012 Well done, Zaine Hill, in being chosen to represent our school in the CHB Sports Academy. We are sure he will do himself and our school proud.Congratulations to the four enthusiastic Y8 students who took second place at the Blue Light PCT event in Napier. They will now travel in May to Wellington to compete in the National Blue Light PCT Competition. The event in Napier involved pushing trailers, carrying a 70kg dummy, jumping through windows and over fences and they thought teamwork was the key to their success.... Room 1 students kicked off 2012 with Optimist Yachting and despite a lack of breeze, they had a great time tacking back and forth at Ahuriri Lagoon .... Looking back on 2011 Mr Pearse's ICT Extension Group finished their disaster movie and it was really worth checking out ...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6wpeN-hZ9o Room 1 enjoyed an awesome week at Camp Kaitawa .. The All Blacks were about to play France in their next pool game so we dressed in black to show some support... Our Radio Station WPS1071FM began broadcasting on 107.1FM - easy listening music to begin with but watch this develop as the students hone their DJ, oral and written skills as part of our Inquiry Learning Unit.

As part of their Discovery Learning, Room 5 headed off to Napier to visit some boat builders.
After many days of practice, our gymnasts headed off to CHB College for the Gym Festival.
Napier Boys' High School's Orchestra visited us and entertained our students with many popular tunes - they also demonstrated how the different instruments sound - pics here
